Yorta Yorta 'A Vehicle for Opening channels and dialogue between Levels of Governments'

Past government policies of dispossession and removal have heavily impacted Indigenous peoples across Australia. Traditional owners of the land have spiritual connection and a specific and unique role to play within our traditional lands and this acts as the starting premise for participation, consultation and engagement of traditional owner peoples. Yorta Yorta seeks to work with the Australian Government, and the respective States of Victoria and New South Wales, and local Governments to build and strengthen relationships, partnerships through mutual respect and recognition.

STATE OF NEW SOUTH WALES

The State of New South Wales is working with Yorta Yorta traditional owners to source strategies that will strengthen its relationship with Yorta Yorta to better enable cross-border cooperation and management.
